THINGS TO DO IN UZÈS ?

With 8,500 residents, Uzès is one of the towns that attracts the most visitors in the Occitanie region for its rich scenery and cultural heritage. Part of the Uzège group of municipalities, this town of art and history is home to many castles, a super architectural complex (Duché d’Uzès), a historical Roman cathedral (Saint-Théodorit cathedral – Fenestrelle tower), a church built in the 13th century (Saint-Etienne church), and a medieval garden with Roman vestiges (Eure fountain).

There is also a national stud farm and many museums for all ages: the vehicle wheel museum, the sweet museum, the 1900 museum, a century of wagons museum, the Mediterranean pottery museum… Take time to wander around the narrow streets, to walk along the Arzon river, to admire the scenery of the Eure valley and to take a well-deserved break at the Meduz craft brewery. Uzès also has an amusement park, just a few steps from the sweets museum: Dino Amusement Park.

You can also choose an active holiday in Saint-Jean-du-Gard for original activities such as canyoning or potholing in the Ardèche gorges, or for visiting amazing sites such as the Gard aqueduct or the Prafrance bamboo gardens (Bambouseraie d’Anduze).

A 4 STAR CAMPSITE 60 KM FROM UZÈS

Certainly, there is the aquatic area with its large outdoor pool ideal for water aerobics classes and many other modern facilities designed to have fun and exercise during the holidays (multi-sports ground, volleyball and petanque, tennis court, ping-pong tables, children’s playground). That said, the particularity of the Cevennes campsite Mas de la Cam lies in its privileged location: a wooded park of 65 hectares surrounded by greenery located on the edge of a river that has its source in the Cévennes, the Gardon. Take your air mattress and let yourself be rocked by the waters of the river after a day of hiking or kayaking. Lie down in your sunbed on our solarium, by the pool, and recharge your batteries before visiting Uzès and the other beautiful villages of the Gard.

The Gard campsite welcomes all holidaymakers and all vehicles, including caravans and motorhomes. Traditional campsite enthusiasts, choose your plot and pitch your tent on your shady ground. You can, if you wish, have access to electricity (6 and 10 A sockets). Looking for more comfort for your family? Our cottages are designed for you.
